Coal will remain the basis of Bulgarian energy sector

The Ministry of Energy Zhecho Stankow informed that Bulgaria won't resign from coal-fired power plants which are the basis of energy sector in the country. The decision was anounced according to the Integrated National Energy and Climate Plan by 2030 with a perspective until 2050. The document indicates the achievement of a 32 % share of energy from RES in the total energy consumption as well as obtaining 32,5 % energy savings by 2030. What is more, coal will remain base source of energy because of its stability and security of supply.
